AniJam UK Event aims to inspire and showcase new work from animation talent

AniJam UK aims to inspire and showcase new work from emerging and established animation talent from across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Animators and artists over the age of 18 can compete in teams of 2 to 5 people, and will have just 48 hours to produce an original film based on a specific theme in any style of animation. These will take place across 9 regions over a series of weekends this summer.

Up to 3 films will be selected from each regional heat, forming a shortlist of animations that will be shown on the big screen and online. They will be up for prizes and eligible for a Public Choice & Grand Prix Award.

If you’re the team captain let us know your team name, the name & email addresses of each team member and which region you’ll be attending for the briefing. The regional AniJams will take place on different dates at differenent venues:

27-29th JULY:

  • Bristol (with Encounters)

10-12th AUGUST

  • Belfast (with Nerve Centre)
  • Cardiff (with CHAPTER)
  • Derby (with QUAD)
  • Glasgow (with Glasgow Short Film Festival)
  • London (with Young FAN)
  • Manchester (with Manchester Animation Festival)
  • York (with Aesthetical Film Festival)

17-19th AUGUST:

  • Leicester (with Phoenix)
