‘Despicable Me 3’ to premiere at Annecy 2017

// Featured, News

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival have today announced that they will host the world premiere of Despicable Me 3 at this year’s edition.

The fourth feature film entry in the Despicable Me franchise (following the 2015 spinoff Minions) and seventh animated feature collaboration between Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures, Despicable Me 3 sees the continuing adventures of Gru (Steve Carell) and Lucy (Kristen Wiig) as they face off former-child-star-turned-obsessive-villain Balthazar Bratt (Trey Parker, of South Park and The Book of Mormon fame).

Produced by Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy and executive produced by Chris Renaud, Despicable Me 3 is directed by Pierre Coffin, Kyle Balda and Eric Guillon with a screenplay by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio.

The premiere event will take place in Annecy on Wednesday, June 14th at 8:30 pm (English version with French Subtitles) in anticipation of a US release on June 30th and French release on July 5th.
