The eagerly anticipate d next Bar Shorts will take place on Tuesday 30th April in Manchester. The amazing not-for-profit Band on the Wall will host the night filled with an eclectic mix of short films and animations.  From the delightful to the incredibly dark, Bar Shorts aims to champion great story telling both on and off-line.

The Manchester line-up showcases the wonderfully amusingly and smart shorts including…

Vicky Mather‘s multi-award winning ‘Stanley Pickle’, new episodes of 12Foot6’s Dog Judo, Lucy Izzard’s live-action ‘My Other Half’, a selection of brilliantly original stings from Salford University students, Michael Frei’s beautiful ‘Not About Us’, the rather witty ‘Mummy Needs Gin’ by Monika Forsberg, the Daivd Shrigley classic ‘The Artist’, Phil Mulloy’s ‘Dogs Can’t Talk’, The Diver by James Lancett, Tom Jennings’ ‘U No Likey Like That’ DJ Yoda music video, Asa Lucander’s ‘Sorry To Hear Your Toe Got Needled’ stop-motion animation and celebrating the ten year anniversary of Chris Shepherd’s ghostly ‘Dads Dead’.

We are also delighted to announce that local artist and DJ – Stanley Chow – will be spinning an eclectic, psychedelic, jazz, funk, soul, rock odyssey from the 60′s and 70′s on the night.
