Kidscreen is thrilled to announce that Randi Zuckerberg, New York Times best-selling author of Dot Complicated and children’s book Dot, will participate in a one-on-one Q&A session next month at Kidscreen Summit, the year’s biggest event for leaders in kids entertainment. A former marketing executive at Facebook, Zuckerberg is a digital lifestyle expert who serves as founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media, editor-in-chief of DotComplicated.co and host of “Dot Complicated” on SiriusXM.

From creativity to coding, technology opens up countless doors for children to learn new skills and explore their passions. But it’s also challenging the conventions of family dynamics in new ways. In a fun and thought-provoking fireside chat entitled Tech, Content and the Next Generation, Zuckerberg will explore how today’s parents and children are living and interacting with technology, drawing out critical insights for Kidscreen Summit attendees to keep in mind as they seek to engage kids and family audiences. Zuckerberg recently penned children’s book Dot, a unique picture book about finding the balance between “plugging in” and recharging with “unplugged” forms of play.

Amazon Studios is also putting together an important Kidscreen Summit panel presentation called Shaping the Next Generation of Content. With an increasing emphasis being placed on curriculum in preschool programming, one of the most vibrant sectors of the kids biz, Amazon Studios is blazing a new trail with its pilot program and commissioning strategy. Head of Kids Programming Tara Sorensen, noted curriculum expert Dr. Alice Wilder, and several thought leaders in child development will come together at the Summit to discuss how Amazon Kids is shaping curriculum for early childhood learning and looking at play, art and creativity for the youngest demo.

Kidscreen Summit 2015 is set to take place in Miami, Florida from February 23 to 26. The event’s new venue is the Miami InterContinental, a contemporary luxury hotel located on prime waterfront in downtown Miami, and just minutes away from South Beach, the Design District, Coconut Grove’s bohemian village, and the many galleries, restaurants and boutique shops in Coral Gables.

Last year, Kidscreen Summit welcomed nearly 1,700 attendees from 47 countries around the world. And close to 450 kids TV buyers and investors were at the event looking for new content and partners. This year’s event will continue to offer an unparalleled opportunity to keep abreast of important issues and trends in the fast-moving international kids entertainment industry, generate business and revenue opportunities, and network with leading decision-makers.
