Bob the Builder’s New Look, First Trailer Arrives
After announcing a refit for the series Bob the Builder fans of the children’s classic can finally get their first look at the new look CG series in action.
The classic look which first hit our screens in the 1990s seems a distant memory as Bob and the gang are revealed in their new, almost plastic looking, visages. Gone is Bob’s familiar “Can We Fix It?” catch phrase, replaced with the similar sounding “Can we build it?”. Judging by the website familiar favourites Travis, Farmer Pickles, Spud the naughty scarecrow and Pilchard the Cat all go without mention, whilst new character Two-Tonne and Tiny join Bob in the big city.
Whilst first impressions from the teaser trailer look a far cry from the charm of the original we will have to wait until 7.20am on the 1st of September when the new episodes air on Channel 5 to see if the new look CG Bob the Builder is capable of building a fan base as large and as dedicated the original.
