Sir David Jason on Presenting Brian Cosgrove with the BAFTA Special Award

In this clip, Sir David Jason and Brian Cosgrove chat about working together for over 30 years, what it’s like to present an award to a very close friend and advice on getting on in the animation industry today.

The Special Award was presented by celebrated actor and life-long friend, Sir David Jason at the Awards Ceremony yesterday (Sunday 25 November 2012) at the London Hilton on Park Lane. Brian and David have worked together on several animated films and children’s programmes including The Wind In The Willows, The BFG, Count Duckula and DangerMouse.

Brian formed Manchester based animation studio, Cosgrove Hall with his business partner Mark Hall in 1975. The studio quickly established itself as the leading producer of animated programmes in the UK and created shows and films that have entertained millions of people all over the world including DangerMouse, Bill and Ben, Noddy, Rainbow, Chorlton and the Wheelies and The BFG.
