Advent Animation 2014 – Dec 4: Snowflake (Eoin Duffy)
Eoin Duffy has been sweeping through the festival circuit with his existential bedtime story, The Missing Scarf. In this holiday greeting, Duffy reminds us again that the malevolent universe will win every time. The animation is simple, but the sound design puts us right where Duffy wants us. I never knew how utterly terrifying a slowly forming snowflake can be.
