Advent Animation 2014 – Dec 6: An Ode to Fruitcake (Leah Shore)
After a nuclear holocaust the earth would be populated by cockroaches eating Aunt Mabel’s fruitcake. I’m not sure exactly how fruitcake got it’s unfortunate reputation but it has stuck like candied cherries to your back molars.
Leah Shore’s twisted ode to this holiday tradition capitalizes on our preconceived notions of the confection… and adds pink bunnies too!
Interesting moment, fact or point of inspiration from your production:
I have never eaten fruitcake, nor will I ever. I really like bunnies. Boobs and butts are cool too.
Most animated holiday party you’ve been to (literally or figuratively):
When I went to an animation studio holiday party. We were all cartoons of course.
What’s one thing you are looking forward to in the new year?
Making new films with perverted themes and some animations as well!
