DepicT! 2017 Shortlist Announced

Today sees the announcement of the DepicT! 2017 shortlist.

A competitive strand within Bristol’s Encounters Festival, DepicT! challenges filmmakers to create an effective and engaging film told in 90 seconds or less.

Previously shortlisted filmmakers include Aidan McAteerDane Winn, Steve Kirby, Trevor Hardy, Thomas LucasPaul Hill, Felix Massie, Joseph Pierce, Aidan McAteer, Matthew Walker and Mole Hill.

The eight animated micro-shorts amongst the DepicT! 2017 shortlist are:

America, I Think? (Matthew Armitage)
Blue Face (John Harris)
Creator (Anton Dushkin)
Hunters (Ido Shapira, Amit Cohen)
Ideas Are Illegal (Edward Bulmer)
Picking Sides (Dotty Kultys, Beatriz Pinto)
The Kiss (Antonella Mignone, Cristiano Panepuccia)
Winnow (George Lewis)

The prizewinning films will be revealed at the Encounters festival award ceremony on September 23rd, 2017.
