Following on from Antz, Over the Hedge and Sinbad and the Seven Seas, Tim Johnson’s latest direction see’s lead character Boov relocate and reorganize the humans on earth until one girl Tip, avoids capture and embarks on a road trip of a lifetime with Boov in Twentieth Century Fox and DreamWorks Animation latest feature film, Home. The film is based on the Novel, The True Meaning of Smek Day by Adam Rex. A sequel book is also due to be released next september titled Smek for President. The film stars Jim Parsons, Rhianna and Jennifer Lopez and was actually due to be released today on the 26th of November but the release was switched with Penguins with Madagascar, (imdb trivia suggest this ‘possibily was for the benefit of the earlier film’s box office impact’).

When Earth is taken over by the overly-confident Boov, an alien race in search of a new place to call home, all humans are promptly relocated, while all Boov get busy reorganizing the planet. But when one resourceful girl, Tip (Rihanna), manages to avoid capture, she finds herself the accidental accomplice of a banished Boov named Oh (Jim Parsons). The two fugitives realize there’s a lot more at stake than intergalactic relations as they embark on the road trip of a lifetime.

Home is due to be releases in UK cinemas on 20th March 2015.
