DuckTales Returns With New Trailer
This week brings finally brought a preview of Disney XD’s remake of DuckTales. We announced in February 2015 that the reboot was occurring, but with 21 half an hour long episodes being produced and two additional hour long specials – no wonder we had a while to wait!
The show stars David Tennant (doing his finest Alan Young), as Scrooge McDuck. Also featuring are Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, and Bobby Moynihan as the cheeky triplets Huey, Dewey, and Louie. The art direction is inspired by original Carl Barks Comic books. The concept art and backgrounds for the new preview mirror the style of the old comics, with matching grain and similar line quality. IGN reported the Vice President of Programming commenting on Carl Barks style as being an “enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults.” and followed the statement with hopes of bringing “the same energy and adventurous spirit” to the next generation.
When watching keep your eyes open because in this lengthy preview you’ll see some nice elongated in-betweens!
Scrooge, Donald, Huey, Duey, Louis, Webby, Launchpad, Mrs Beakley and more will return when DuckTales graces TV screens this summer.
