Cardiff Animation Nights is back on Thursday 25th May in a brand new (bigger!) venue – Kongs Cardiff!

We’re bringing a fantastic selection of animated short films to Kongs’ Level 2 space, including…

Jen Zheng’s moving BAFTA-nominated short explores identity, diaspora, culture and race.
‘New light is shed on childhood cultural misunderstandings when a Chinese mother and her British-born daughter speak as adults for the first time.’

Dark and funny Oscar-shortlisted Czech short by Jan Saska.
‘A black comedy about death with a happy ending. A splendid chain of unlikely encounters. Hunters, a tractor driver, a disco boy, and a corpse.’

Evan DeRushie’s curiously touching Canadian stop-motion film.
‘Birdlime is the name for a sticky substance which is spread on branches to trap wild birds intended for export or trade.’

At the Level 2 space at Kongs (opposite Cardiff Market), St Mary Street, Cardiff. Doors 7:30pm, films from 8pm. Free entry!

Come for the films, stay for a drink and a chat, and let us know about events you’d like to see in the future!
