I Hate You Red Light Online
I Hate You Red Light, the award winning film from Colombian based company 1881 Animation. The UPA styled piece is a tribute to the directors J.M Walters’ (who also appears as the live action actor at the beginning of the short) love of all things vintage. For the first time the whole film is now viewable online.
The film follows Frank, an unassuming fellow on his morning drive when he’s inadvertently stopped by every single red light on his commute. It is fair to say, good old Frank somewhat losses his cool. With such a resurgence in the cartoon modern style in the last couple of year with films like ‘Sausages‘ and of course KLIK! Festival paying homage to the style this year. This film is a perfect addition to the the new wave of retro animation film.
