Irish Film & Television Academy Nominations

// News

Following hot on the heels of the BAFTA 2013 Nominations, the Irish Film & Television Academy have announced their nominations – of which animation related films can be found listed below.

Unlike the BAFTAs in the UK, animated films are spread across different categories and find themselves competing with live action films and shows.

The animation category includes Conor Finnegan’s Fear or Flying, which combines styles and animation techniques in a new and interesting way (check out our interview with Coner here), Brown Bag Film‘s Peter Rabbit’s Christmas Tale, Joel Simon’s Macropolis – a short about two reject toys who escape from the factory, and Damien O’Connor’s After You – the story of sixty years in the life of a Dublin doorman (who also contributed Day 2 on our Skwigly Un-Advent Calendar)

After You (Animation Category)

Fear of Flying (Animation and Short Film Categories)

Macropolis (Animation Category)

Peter Rabbit’s Christmas Tale (Animation Category)
