Tales From Pussy Willow is an award-winning satirical sketch show for adult audiences. It takes the form of 2 – 3 minute animated comedy episodes which each explore a different situation within the fictional British town of Pussy Willow. There is a recurring cast of characters who bring the town to life and connect the episodes, the pioneering animation style incorporates live action filming of actors’ heads shot against green screen, which are then composited on animated bodies in animated worlds.

Seasons one and two have already attracted a cult following online and at festivals around the world; the series recently won Best Comedy and Best LGBTQ series at the London Short Series festival and other nominations include Best Comedy at LA’s OutFest, Best LGBTQ series at Toronto WebFest and Best British Series at Pilot Light TV festival. The series has particularly been celebrated for it’s representation of LGBT+ characters within animation.

Written and produced by award winning animation filmmaker Kate Jessop she says she is “holding a mirror up to society”. Since the development of the series animator Leo Crane has joined the team and will be animating an array of characters from Orgasm Unicorn to cats in the first fully animated (no human characters involved) offshoot episode The Secret Lives of Lesbians Cats. The team work as Kates Animation Girl Band which previously produced Queer Heroes, a celebration of LGBTQ figures animated by an array of Britain’s best animators.

Stop motion + wool. The only that would make me happier is if it had chickens in it. Watch this - it's gorgeous. t.co/cAWResuwys
