Morph returns for new adventures on Sky Kids

Aardman‘s classic character Morph, who recently enjoyed a crowdfunded revival on YouTube and CBBC, has returned this week for yet more adventures exclusively to Sky Kids.

Beginning with this week’s episode Portable Portals, five new episodes of Morph will be available to watch on Sky Kids and the Sky Kids app each month through to December. Alongside the new episodes will be an eight-part how-to series Make Your Own Movies with Merlin, presented by Aardman Creative Director Merlin Crossingham who will be showing young viewers how to create their very own home-made animations, covering sets, props, cameras, lighting, and of course how to create their very own Morph.

We’re really excited to welcome Morph to the Sky Kids family. Morph is an iconic British character and we are so excited to have been able to commission these brilliant new episodes from the talented team at Aardman.  At Sky, we’re committed to offering the very best entertainment for the whole family and over the past few months the Sky Kids app has gone from strength to strength. With over 4,500 episodes now available on demand.  Morph joins a fantastic line up of favourite characters and we know that our audience, both young and old, will love his new adventures.

I’m delighted to be launching the new series of Morph on Sky Kids and you can bet Morph and sidekick Chas are thrilled to be back on screens, getting up to even more mischievous and hilarious capers!  At Aardman we are really passionate about inspiring creativity in young audiences – encouraging kids to be creators and not just consumers – so we’ve added some ‘Make Your Own Movies with Merlin’ tutorials to encourage our audience to try animation for themselves. I hope they’ll be inspired, as I was at a young age, to have fun in the world of animation.
