Podcast – Interview with Simon Tofield (“Simon’s Cat”)

// Featured, Interviews

In our latest podcast we welcome special guest Simon Tofield, creator of Simon’s Cat that celebrated its tenth anniversary this year. Having debuted in 2008 with the software-test-turned-viral-sensation Cat Man Do, the series has amassed a huge worldwide following spawning over 70 black and white shorts, the extended full-colour film Off To The Vet, a game, numerous books and an upcoming TV series.

Also discussed in this episode: Ariane Lange, Katie Rice and Robyn Byrd‘s speaking out against John Kricfalusi (and the article’s initial response within the animation community), the flawed world of YouTube and its ‘Copyright School’, other merchandisable animated felines and upcoming Cardiff Animation Festival highlights.
