A little background information...

My camera was stolen after filming my friend, Ben, at his gig. Ben (and partner, Jason) set up a donation fund for friends and family to donate to, which helped raised funds to replace the stolen camera. As a thanks to Ben and Jason, I made a music video for one of his songs “Head In A Twist”.

How was the film made?

I initially got in contact with the original singer, who lives in Italy… Thankfully, the internet is awesome, and she self shot her own footage and sent it over. I shot a load more footage and stitched it together in After Effects to create a draft video for me to rotoscope over. From there onwards, it was a case of many hours slaving away in TVPaint (and its awfulness/awesomeness, depending on my mood).
