What is the film about?

Big Bad Monsters is a story that I wrote about me and my big brother Steven when I was 7 years old. This is my adaptation of the piece, 17 years later, working as closely as possible to the idea that my 7 year old self had in mind.

What influenced it?

Wallace & Gromit, Toy Story, A Town Called Panic, Adventure Time

A little background information...

I came across the original story while packing to move house and thought that it would lend itself nicely to my style of stop motion. I made the piece as a surprise for my brother’s birthday, and it has proven to be one of the most satisfying gifts that I’ve ever been able to give to date.

How was the film made?

In my bedroom, over several months in the dark underneath two hot lamps. Rendered in plasticine and painted card.
