What is the film about?

The cyclical journey of a food chain.

What influenced it?

Nature documentaries. Working out how to take real life creatures and push the boundaries of their characteristics and aesthetics using creative license.

A little background information...

To experiment with with illustration styles and a vivid, limited colour palette. Intrigued by the cyclical nature of the natural world, a looping animation seemed a harmonious fit.

How was the film made?

Started sketching some ideas for how each stage would run from one to the next. The characters were realised further in Adobe Illustrator, then brought to life in Adobe After Effects with a blend of cel and keyframe animation.
