After recently being interviewed by Skwigly magazine, Simon’s Cat creator Simon Tofield has clearly kept busy.

To celebrate the festive season, Tofield has released another animation of Britain’s most mischievous cat. The clip, currently at 321,041 views after just 24 hours shows how popular this cat is, if there was ever any question. Simon’s Cat represents the feline minority this time by giving Simon a present with apparent feeling of how-do-you-like-it. It is refreshing to see Tofield has matched the previous animations with equal, if not higher standard. It is the perfect solution for anyone hoping to indulge in some festive cheer.

You know, it’s interesting. I much prefer the earlier animations where the cat wasn’t quite so “human” if that makes sense. The swap for the can of cat food was a fun gag, and certainly amused me, but I almost would rather he just drag off the turkey and be done. Same with the window opening.

I dunno, maybe I’m just being too picky. :) The animation itself was great as always, as were the terrific sound effects.
