TruckMachin are Director/Animator Jane E Davies and Illustrator/Art Director Leah Heming.

Jane and Leah have collaborated together on various animation projects for the past five years and finally decided to launch a collaborative partnership together in 2015.

It’s an excuse to work together as we combine our respective skills quite well. Our mission statement is to have fun and do great work for our clients whilst doing it. We both take on different roles depending on the project so it made sense to work together under one name.

The name TruckMachin is from the French saying truc machin which loosely translates as ‘thingy’ or ‘doo-dah’. We thought it apt but then changed it to TruckMachin so it’s a mix of English and French. Leah is French speaking as she grew up in Belgium. A few people have asked if we spelt machine wrong.

@lewisheriz @skwigly That first time you see it move is such a buzz and then you add sound and it just enters a whole new stratosphere.

@themooks @skwigly I know it's kind of obvious, but I used to see it as 'important but secondary'. I don't see it as secondary any more.
