Super Science Friends: Episode 1 released online
After a year of waiting, the Kickstarter-funded first episode of Tinman Creative‘s action-packed Super Science Friends was released this weekend. Last year Skwigly talked to the show’s creator Brett Jubinville and Producer Morgan Fortier during the nail-biting Kickstarter campaign which surpassed its initial goal. Almost a year later and on schedule the have delivered the first episode. For those of you who haven’t been following the progress of the series, the show follows Winston Churchill who has gathered an Avengers-like team of ‘super scientists’ – from the coke-sniffing, sex-controlling Freud, to the anamorphic, shapeshifting Charles Darwin, a young speedy Einstein (who is also Churchill’s protégé) and feminist Marie Curie among others – as they battle Hitler’s nazis and Soviet Space Ghoul. The show is laugh-out-loud funny and manages to combine beautiful design and wonderful animation into a truly spectacular piece that rivals any show you may see on TV today.
