Tim Burton To Direct Disney’s New Dumbo Movie
Tim Burton is to direct Disney’s live action remake of the 1941 classic Dumbo. The film is expected to be a mixture of computer generated effects and live actors.
Walt Disney Pictures president of production Sean Bailey revealed the plans for Dumbo to The Wall Street Journal, telling the paper ‘It’s a big world.
The original movie concentrated on the story of the big eared circus elephant, Dumbo, who is bullied by the other circus elephants until his ability to fly made him a star. To bring the movie into the 21st century, a family story will be added to reflect dumbo’s journey.
The script has been penned by Transformers franchise writer Ehren Kruger, but is yet to begin production.
