A new family attraction centered on the UK’s most beloved faces of animation “Wallace & Gromit” is soon to be launched at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The “Thrill-O-Matic” includes a four-minute ride and extensive gift shop and is set to incorporate elements from the duo’s well-known animated adventures.  The Pleasure Beach crew are developing the attraction with creator Nick Park, who has spoken of his excitement for the venture: “We are really enjoying working with the Pleasure Beach team on this new ride and new format for Wallace and Gromit and can’t wait to get started on building all the props and set pieces.”

The ride, a £5million+ investment, is scheduled to be open to the public in 2013 and Amanda Thompson OBE, the park’s managing director, is enthusiastic that “the characters will be a huge hit with the families who come and visit Pleasure Beach. Wallace & Gromit are national treasures and to have them here re-affirms our commitment to attracting families back to the resort for what we hope will be A Grand Day Out!”
