WIN Double Pass for LIAF Opening Gala 2016

// News

The London International Animation Festival (LIAF16) is the UK’s largest and most eclectic animation festival and it returns for a 13th year to 4 venues across London from this Friday December 2-11 – with a whopping 10-day celebratory feast of forums, screentalks and over 200 of the best recent, historical and retrospective animated shorts and features from around the world.

This is a must-see event for anyone who has any interest in animation or the arts in general. The opening night gala celebrates one of the giants of British animation – Chris Shepherd. One of the most cherished names in the UK independent animation scene, Chris’s work fuses comedy with commentary on the darker side of human nature. The screening will include the world premiere of Chris Shepherd’s live-action/animation hybrid short film ‘Johnno’s Dead’. After the screening Chris will grace the stage of the Barbican along with members of the cast and crew to discuss his work and the making of this momentous work of pure cinema.

Alongside this, there will be a special preview of some of the films that will be screening throughout the festival, some of the hottest films in competition. The opening gala is at 6-30 this Friday Dec 2nd at Barbican Cinema 1 and as a special treat LIAF are giving away a double pass to this screening for the first person to email them at info@liaf.org.uk with the answer to the question:

“Name one of Chris Shepherds short films”
