Aardman In Concert’ A Brand-New UK Tour
Carrot Productions announces Aardman in Concert, a major new touring production created in partnership with multi-award-winning animation studio, Aardman. The landmark 50th anniversary show will tour from May to October 2026, bringing Aardman’s most loved characters to the big screen with live orchestral accompaniment and a special appearance from Wallace and Gromit themselves.
Warm, funny and full of heart, Aardman in Concert visits concert halls, festivals and cultural venues across the country, celebrating iconic characters and stories that generations of families have grown up with, amplified by the power and warmth of a live orchestra. Audiences of all ages are invited to enjoy classic moments from Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, Morph, Creature Comforts and more.
The first half of the performance offers a joyful celebration of Aardman’s extraordinary 50-year history. It opens with a brand-new montage sequence and score, created especially for this event, showcasing Wallace & Gromit’s most daring escapades, Shaun the Sheep’s funniest moments, and appearances from characters that have become part of everyday family life.
The second half features a full screening of either The Wrong Trousers or A Matter of Loaf and Death, each accompanied by orchestra. Screenings vary by venue; audiences are advised to check with their local box office for details.
In The Wrong Trousers, Wallace’s decision to take in a lodger leads to chaos when the coolly calculating Feathers McGraw hatches a daring criminal plan, sending Gromit into a race against time to save his hapless owner. A Matter of Loaf and Death finds the duo running a bakery and stumbling into danger once again, as Wallace is distracted by a romance with Piella Bakewell and Gromit steps up to foil a serial killer and save the day.
Together, the films and music form a joyful celebration of British storytelling, craft and humour, providing an opportunity for families to laugh together, share memories, and pass on characters that have been part of our lives for decades.
Rachel Whibley, Managing Director of Carrot Productions, says:
“Celebrating 50 years of Aardman with a live orchestra feels incredibly special. These are characters many of us grew up with, and now we’re seeing families bring their own children to experience them live. Creating something that parents, children and grandparents can enjoy together is exactly what Carrot, and our friends at Aardman, are about.”
Molly Van Den Brink, Senior Attractions & Live Experiences Manager at Aardman says:
“What better way to continue our longstanding partnership with Carrot Productions than celebrating our 50th anniversary together, allowing fans of all ages the chance to experience our favourite Aardman moments from the last 50 years in such a joyful and uplifting concert, while introducing children to the wonder of a live orchestra.”
The show builds on Carrot Productions’ long-standing creative partnership with Aardman, including the award-winning Wallace & Gromit’s Musical Marvels, created for a 38-performance tour in 2019. That production premiered at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield and was attended by Nick Park and Julian Nott, who both studied and met there, and where A Grand Day Out was first conceived. The show went on to win Best Licensed Live Event at the Licensing Excellence Awards 2020, cementing Carrot’s reputation for creating distinctive live orchestral experiences with Aardman’s most loved characters.
Between 1 May and 26 October 2026, Aardman in Concert will tour a wide range of concert halls, festivals and cultural venues, with performances in Birmingham, London, Salisbury, Guildford, Bristol, Glossop, St Albans, Budleigh and Chester.
From major city stages to much-loved regional festivals, the tour ensures families across the country can experience Aardman’s stories on the big screen, as well as the unmatched atmosphere that only a classical orchestra can create, often for the very first time.
