Acamar Films Launches Again! Again! – A Global Channel Built on Public Service Values on YouTube

Award-winning independent producer and distributor Acamar Films is strengthening its commitment to quality entertainment for pre-school audiences with the launch of Again! Again! – a new global public service values channel on YouTube. The channel will give prominence to high quality character and narrative-driven content which supports healthy child development. Child safety, expert curation, and strong educational values aim to make Again! Again! a trusted destination for parents, carers and educators.
Again! Again! will offer curated high-quality children’s content that is gentle, purposeful and trusted by parents, with the look and feel of a TV channel. Programmes will be introduced, in regular live-streams, with dedicated presenters performing links between a range of expertly chosen content. Again! Again! will also offer a valuable new destination for producers to help them gain global prominence for their programming. Content will be licensed on a non-exclusive basis, and will earn income from a well-designed revenue-sharing model. Acamar is already in discussions with a number of leading producers to showcase their content and is calling for further submissions ahead of launch. At this point the channel is only able to accept finished content.
Acamar has launched over 65 YouTube channels to date globally, across 33 languages, in over 130 territories. Engagement across the channel network has now reached 1.5 million hours of viewing each day. Acamar has developed the channel management infrastructure and expertise to ensure discoverability for programmes chosen for Again! Again! and to build engagement for the new channel, building on its success with existing Bing YouTube channels.
Initially Again! Again! will feature the best of English-language animation and live action programming from producers both in the UK and internationally with the content curated by the channel’s advisory board which comprises: Michael Carrington – former Controller of BBC Children’s, Director of CBBC, and Director of Programmes, ABC Australia; Dr Natascha Crandall PhD – child development expert, early years educational specialist, and advisor to over 40 award-winning children’s programmes in the UK and USA; Debbie Macdonald – award-winning children’s content producer, ex BBC, Director of Acquisitions for Nickelodeon UK, and industry veteran, and Mikael Shields – CEO, Acamar Films, Producer of Bing.
Again! Again! will go live with a global launch in March with a wide range of broadcast, programming, and distribution partnerships in support of this new venture to be announced.
