Anibar Animation Festival Unveils 17th Edition with Official Trailer by Jenny Jokela

The 17th edition of Anibar International Animation Festival is just around the corner, and we are thrilled to announce that the wait is finally over!

After months of dedicated work and the review of 2,104 film submissions, we are proud to present this year’s official selection.

While the VR and Feature Film Programs will be revealed soon, the festival will showcase nine other categories, six of which are competitive – featuring a total of 171 films from 45 countries.

This season brought an exceptional number of remarkable works, making the selection process both exciting and highly challenging for the curatorial team: Petrit Gora, Vita Kasapolli and Panot Mahmutaj.

The film program will take place from July 13 to 18, 2026, across five venues in Peja, Kosova: ‘Jusuf Gervalla’ Cinema, Dukagjini Creative Center, Lake Cinema, Cubes Cinema, and Kino Çarshia.
