Cantilever Media And Redefine Originals Enter First-Look Co-Production Deal

UK Independent production company Cantilever Media, producer of animated feature The Amazing Maurice, and DNEG-owned ReDefine Originals, a full-service animation production company, have entered into a far-reaching first-look co-production deal which will see the two companies jointly develop and finance animated feature films for the kids and family market.
Both companies will bring projects to the combined venture with the aim of producing two to three features per year over an initial period of three years. ReDefine Originals will be the animation studio for the projects, with Cantilever Media producing and Cantilever Media’s distribution company, Kazoo Films, taking UK rights. The DNEG Group’s content financing and production arm, Prime Focus Studios, will serve as co-producing partner on the slate of features.
Cantilever Media and ReDefine Originals are already working together on a project with Newscope Films – Bollywoof, an animated feature film for Sky Cinema which will be released Q3 2027.
In addition to Bollywoof, Cantilever Media has an active production slate including animated feature The Amazing Maurice 2 which it is co-producing with Germany’s Ulysses Filmproduktion, and Unstable, which is a co-production with Carpe Diem Productions in Canada.
