Chicken for Linda! Screening (Part of Cinema Made in Italy)
Ciné Lumière teams up with Cinecittà and the Italian Cultural Institute in London to present the 14th edition of Cinema Made in Italy.
On this occasion Chicken For Linda ! Franco-Italian production by Chiara Malta and Sebastien Laudenbach, Cristal winner of the official competition at the Annecy Animated Film Festival in 2023, recipient of the Lumière Award and César Award for Best French Animation in 2024 will be presented.

Linda is unfairly punished by her mother, Paulette, who will do anything to make it up to her. Even a chicken with peppers when she can’t cook. Linda absolutely wants to have the chicken that her father made that day…But there is a strike, a general strike!
The Italian-French duo’s colourful film sows infectious good humour whilst simultaneously exploring serious subjects with great subtlety: the grieving process, the complex relationships between mother and daughter, and between sisters, friendship, childhood, the question of authority and of collective mentalities on housing estates, all set against a backdrop of a country on general strike.
