FACTORY CONTINUES TO GROW AS THEY APPOINT OPERATIONS DIRECTOR ALAN SMART

Altrincham based multi-genre animation studio Factory appoint new Operations Director, Alan Smart, following a period of remarkable growth. Having produced the stop motion and CGI animated 2014 Christmas special for Disney’s Club Penguin, Factory is currently in production with Clangers and Scream Street, as well as a number of new projects yet to be announced.
The new appointment marks an exciting time for Factory having recently revealed a bold new rebrand and website, demonstrating a strong focus on developing its own intellectual property and rights management portfolio.
Having worked with COCA COLA, McDonald’s and Pizza Hut, Alan brings with him a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience to manage Factory’s growth, developing bespoke systems and processes to increase efficiency and productivity.

Alan Smart comments: “My core role is seeing the company’s operations and numerous functions as a whole. I like to take a holistic view, a business is like a jigsaw, and it’s my job to see that all the pieces fit together properly. After briefly working with Factory three years ago I am now delighted to commit myself fully to the role of Operations Director.
“I’m looking forward to recruiting for roles within the art department including animators, riggers, puppeteers, light engineers and CGI professionals to name but a few.”
