Festival Stop Motion Montreal returns to the big screen for its 14th edition!

// Festival News

Festival Stop Motion Montreal, the world’s first film festival dedicated to stop motion animation, welcomes festival-goers back into theaters for its 14th edition which is set to take place at Concordia University this September 16-18, 2022.

Dominique Côté, nominated as Festival Director this past spring, emphasizes that Canadian talent will be in the spotlight for this reunion edition. The Festival team invites all members of the public and artists to come together for a weekend to celebrate not only the awe-inspiring and meticulous work but also the strong-willed and talented artists who overcame the unstable conditions of the pandemic and successfully brought their productions to the big screen.

The Festival is also proud to unveil the official Poster of this new edition which promises to be heart-warming and festive. The new design was created by Suzie Bergeron, a stop motion animator from Trois-Rivières whose works can be seen in festivals, exhibition halls, and even under the Montreal Planetarium dome.

Ahead of revealing the full schedule for this upcoming edition, the Festival team is excited to announce the return of stop motion workshops for all skill levels as well as exhibitions, behind-the-scenes treats,  and nearly ten hours of film content that is set to dazzle to the screens.
