The Ciné Lumière team is keen on showing the best in French animation at this year’s French Film Festival London programme from 12–23 November 2025.
Do not miss the preview of Ugo Bienvenu‘s acclaimed animation ARCO. Produced by Natalie Portman and winner of the Cristal Award at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Bienvenu manages to paint a fun, positive and moving film that will leave adults and children full of hope for humankind.
Let’s celebrate the tour de force of cut-out animation in Antoine Lanciaux’s The Songbird’s Secret; a beautiful film where we follow 9-year old Lucie on an adventure of family secrets and mystery. The film, which is yet to find a UK distributor, will be preceded by a pre-recorded Q&A with Lanciaux.
Sylvain Chomet doesn’t need any introduction in the animation world anymore. With A Magnificent Life, he crafts a beautifully depicted biopic of iconic writer and filmmaker Marcel Pagnol. We meet again with Chomet’s classic hand-drawn style while discovering more about Pagnol’s life against the backdrop of Paris’ Belle Epoque, the rise of fascism, and World War II.
There will also be many UK premieres, documentaries, features and more to be discovered.
