In association with the independent cinema chain Picture House, Don Hertzfeldt‘s masterful feature It’s Such A Beautiful Day will be screened this Tuesday (October 1st) at a number of venues throughout the UK. As part of the group’s “Discover Tuesdays” series, Hertzfeldt’s film will screen alongside “extra surprises” (according to his Facebook page) for one night only.

The film is made up of Hertzfeldt’s much-admired trilogy of short films centered on Bill, a man who endeavours to get on with life whilst suffering from a potentially fatal ailment. All at once touching, philosophical and grimly amusing, the feature-length edit of Bill’s journey is one of the past few years’ standout independent animated features and is not to be missed.

The film will screen at the following Picture House venues:

  • Clapham Picturehouse – London
  • Greenwich Picturehouse – London
  • Hackney Picturehouse – London
  • Ritzy Picturehouse – London
  • Stratford East Picturehouse – London
  • Belmont Picturehouse – Aberdeen
