The 2022 Kids Kino Industry, an international co-production forum, runs from 27 to 30 September in Warsaw and online. There is still time to join the event and give yourself a chance to establish new cooperation with international representatives of film industry interested in children and youth audiences.

Since 2017, Kids Kino Industry forum has become one of the most important events of this kind in Eastern and Central Europe. Each year, the organisers of the Kids Kino Industry forum welcome new and returning filmmakers and industry representatives, whose goal is to make unique films and series for young audiences and young adults.

This year’s forum is set to feature a range of great and emerging talents: producers, screenwriters, directors, as well as established filmmakers, looking for partners who would like to help them develop their projects of films and series for young audiences.

The four-day agenda includes among others:

  • 27 pitching presentations of projects of films and series at the in-development and work-in-progress stages;
  • 1:1 meetings with producers, sales agents, distributors, platforms representatives, and broadcasters from companies such as: Warner Bros. Discovery, YLE Finnish Broadcasting, Windrose, Canal+ Poland, Latvian Television, Blue Spirit, Indie Sales, Blue Zoo, Galapagos Films, LevelK, REinvent International Sales, Beta Film, Wild Bunch, Film Republic, Dutch Features, VRT Ketnet, Folkets BIO – a complete list of guests is available for accredited attendees;
  • talks with industry representatives on current topics such as the growing market demand for original IPs and audience insights research;
  • case studies of the French original series Molang with Marina Narishkin from Millimages, and productions from Eastern Europe: How I Learned to Fly from SENSE Production and Too Old for Fairy Tales from Pokromski Studio;
  • a workshop about audience insights with Rikke Flodin;
  • an interactive masterclass Creating thriller / horror for 12+ with Christian Potalivo and Jannik Tai Mosholt from Tall & Small, the creators behind the Netflix original series The Rain;
  • script consultations with the Kids Kino Lab script development workshop tutors: Philip LaZebnik (films) and Armin Prediger (series);
  • Kids Kino festival screenings – because it’s all about films;
  • and last but not least – countless networking opportunities and parties with the people who are passionate about making cinema!

Come to Warsaw or join the event online

The forum will be held for the first time in Warsaw’s Kinoteka. The event can be attended on-site or online. All Kids Kino Industry attendees receive access to a special platform through which they can book meetings with Decision Makers (on-site and online) and watch the streamed and recorded sessions and pitches. The platform will also be available for up to a month after the event.
