Hand-drawn hidden object game ‘Nippets’ from Blink Industries released today
Emmy and BAFTA-winning studio Blink Industries (Dead End: Paranormal Park) today launches its first video game, Nippets, a 2D hidden object adventure.
Developed in partnership with boutique consultancy Uwu Biz, Nippets features colourful, hand-drawn visuals by Frederikke Frydenlund. The game unfolds through the memories of the main characters, where each is thinking back in time to the year prior, back to a bold adventure they had each season.
Within this world, players will be able to traverse across those four seasons – Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter – as four different levels, where they can explore bustling, illustrated maps where every window, door and tree hides objects, puzzles and little stories that connect across levels.
This was a home-grown passion project for the team at Blink Industries, and a true celebration of the craft and talent of the artists involved. Working closely with Frederikke Frydenlund’s signature art style, teams of animators, art directors and developers worked tirelessly to translate that visual language into the incredible interactions and scenes that come to life within the game.

From a production stand-point, the development of the game was lovingly steered by Nicola Strina, Lead Games Producer and Benjamin Lole, VP of Longform & Games at Blink. For Nicola, finally releasing the game was a full circle moment:
It’s been an incredible journey bringing our first commercial game to life. Nippets was made with genuine love by an exceptionally talented team of artists, and I think players will really feel that passion in every detail. We hope they enjoy exploring this world as much as we enjoyed creating it.
Benjamin Lole adds:
We couldn’t be more excited to share our first foray into indie game development with the world. It’s been a wonderful process to make something so fun and a wealth of talent and craft has been poured into the project from everyone involved. It’s a perfect combination of storytelling, design and clever interactivity that really sums up the quality of the games we plan to make here at Blink Industries.
Priced at £9.99 ($12.99), fans of the game can enjoy a 10% launch discount for the first month, while a deluxe edition is also available to snap up, featuring a set of seasonal wallpapers and the full soundtrack produced by Blink’s in-house music team, Major Tom.
And if that wasn’t enough, the game is also set to be featured in a number of highly anticipated bundle deals on Steam, joining up with popular games like Is This Seat Taken?, Hidden Folks and Whisper Of The House.
