Official trailer released for ‘Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom’
A new trailer has been released for the upcoming Aardman/StudioCanal/Sky/GKIDS stop-motion feature film sequel Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom.
The film marks the third feature-length outing for the internationally-beloved Aardman mascot Shaun (who first appeared in 1995’s Wallace & Gromit: A Close Shave), following 2016’s Shaun the Sheep Movie and 2019’s Farmageddon: A Shaun the Sheep Movie. This entry sees Aardman partnered with Sky for UK distribution, GKIDS for US distribution and StudioCanal as global partner. The film will premiere theatrically as a Sky Original on 18 September.
SHAUN THE SHEEP: THE BEAST OF MOSSY BOTTOM sees the residents of Mossy Bottom Farm looking forward to Halloween – until the clumsy Farmer trashes the Flock’s beloved pumpkin patch! When Shaun turns MAD SCIENTIST to fix the problem, things rapidly spiral out of control… With The Farmer missing and a wild beast roaming the woods of Mossingham, all the ingredients are in place for a monstrously fun family adventure.
With a cast including Dani Dyer in her first animation role (alongside Justin Fletcher, John Sparkes and Kate Harbour), Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom is directed by Steve Cox – who’d previously helmed Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas – and Matthew Walker (Lloyd of the Flies). Produced by Richard Beek (Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl) and Exec Produced by Sarah Cox, Peter Lord, Nick Park and Carla Shelley, the film is written by Mark Burton (Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, Paddington in Peru, Shaun the Sheep Movie) and Giles Pilbrow (Horrible Histories, Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas).
Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom will be released in UK and US cinemas September 18.
