Shaun the Sheepquel! Follow up feature on the way!

// News

Aardman animation’s Shaun the Sheep is set to return to the big screen in a sequel to Shaun the Sheep The Movie as distributors Studiocanal announce they are pleased with the movies performance.

The feature film cost less than $25 million to produce and has recently crossed the $100 million mark globally. According to a report in Variety Studiocanal chairman Oliver Courson praised the films performance, noting,

“I’m very pleased to see that, as for Shaun the Sheep, you can be distinctive, take risks, be aggresively ambitious and wish for quality and, at the same time, have a good B.O. result, and be mainstream.”

Quite the list of ticked boxes from the British made feature!

Shaun the Sheep The Movie took the titular Shaun and his flock to the big city on an adventure to rescue their amnesia addled farmer. Shaun isn’t resting on his laurels as Aardman have already announced a half hour special The Farmers Llama’s that will be broadcast on the BBC this Christmas.
