What is the film about?

A silly wizard only knows one spell about ducks.

What influenced it?

A lot of influences came from my childhood – retro video game nostalgia, my love for fantasy novels and absurdist humor.

A little background information...

I decided to make this short film as a piece I could use for my portfolio and as an animation test for a kid’s show I had an idea for.

How was the film made?

The film was made in the studio space at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario over the summer of 2019. A Canon DSLR captured the images and Dragonframe was used to compile them. The characters are made from dollar store supplies – felt, beads, plasticine, wire, and styrofoam balls. Overall, production took about 3 months of part-time work.
