Music video for the track Disco-Nect, by DJ Scratch and Sniff- a response to the Brexit fiasco, in Disco.

A little background information...

1973, the year that the UK joined the European Union, is also the year many fans say Disco was born. Fearing the death of Disco with UK’s exit from the EU, DJ Scratch and Sniff set off on a two woman mission to ensure that Disco is staying alive and kicking. The debut single “Disco-Nect”from DJ Scratch And Sniff is released on 29th March 2019 on the Colliderscope label, as their response to the Brexit fiasco, and is accompanied by a surreal animated music video by Zennor Alexander. A cheeky electro disco stomper, flavoured with a drop of acid, the track comes with extended dance mixes from London producer/DJ Robot 84 (Nervous, One Little Indian) and Berlin based Grünberg,(Unexpected Audio Productions) and is a retro inspired homage to all things Euro, Disco, and Fun. Fiona Soe Paing, the track’s co-writer, recalls how the song came about “I was in my brother’s car – he unplugged his phone, and the car talked to us. It said “Disco-nnected” the way computers do. I started singing a little ditty, made the link with Disco-nnect and Brexit, and couldn’t stop laughing.”

DJ Scratch And Sniff is the love machine of two electronic producers and solo artists, Brooklyn/Edinburgh based avant-diva Marilyn Carino, and Aberdeenshire weird-core experimentalistFiona Soe Paing.
