What is the film about?

Broken Antler turned 20. A lot has changed in those 20 years. Back then everything was on tape,
now AI is supposedly going to take everyone’s jobs. To mark the occasion; turning 20, not AI’s
quest for supremacy, it became clear a film needed to be made. What is the film about? Well, obviously the second most asked question of all time… How did Broken Antler get it’s name.

What influenced it?

So genre: it might not actually be a comedy. Perhaps more silly! or stupid, but there wasn’t that category.
The influence to this film was – probably Mighty Boosh, as I was rewatching that at the time the idea germinated properly, but style wise, I was testing out procreate and developing a certain look with that.

A little background information...

It was made largely to mark 20 years of being Broken Antler, but also as a reminder to me to have fun. At the moment a lot of people are struggling within the creative industry. There’s a lot of external
pressures leaving a lot of people struggling for work and the tone feels bleak. I wanted to mark the
occasion with something fun, and silly. It was as much about remembering what I enjoyed doing at
college before I set about trying to earn a pay packet. A reminder to myself to keep creative, have
fun and be silly if need be. If anyone watches it and it lightens their mood for a moment then cool,
but really it was a personal reminder for me.
