Matthew Walker
is a writer, director and animator based in Bristol. He is a director with ArthurCox and is represented by Aardman for commercial work.

After completing a foundation course at Falmouth College of Art and Design he then studied Animation at the University of Wales Newport where he made his graduation film Astronauts that won several awards at international festivals. His second film was John and Karen which also won several awards at international festivals. After that he returned to the University of Wales Newport to spend four weeks making his third film Operator, which won the Depict! competition at Encounters Film Festival in 2007. Little Face was Matthew’s fourth filmm and was his first live-action film.

Since then he has continued to direct and animate on commissioned work, recent major projects including Graham Chapman’s A Liar’s Autobiography and Durrell/Aardman’s The Lonely Dodo campaign.
