The Trailer for The Red Turtle, Michaël Dudok de Wit’s feature debut is here

// News

A man marooned on a desert island tries desperately to escape, until one day he encounters a strange turtle that will change his life.

The Red Turtle, the feature debut of Academy Award winning animator Michaël Dudok de Wit has revealed it’s first trailer. Michaël Dudok de Wit is probably best know for his short films The Monk and the Fish and the award winning Father and Daughter.

The feature film is a co-production between Studio Ghibli and The Wild Bunch and makes it’s debut at Cannes later this week, there is no UK release planned yet so fingers crossed it does well at Cannes and gets UK distribution. The film will also be welcomed by animation fans at Annecy when it opens the festival in June.
