Animated Women Education is led by AWUK’s Educational Advisor, Helen Piercy, BA Animation Lecturer at Norwich University of the Arts.

Although there is generally a gender balance of students studying animation subjects, there still continues to be a huge drop off rate of women entering the industry, with even fewer professional roles held by female creatives. Animated Women Education aims to provide essential resources, information and support for students studying Animation and VFX subjects. Our future goals for AWUK-Ed is to bring together a community of women from professional and academic backgrounds to discuss the barriers to industry and create strategies to help the next generation overcome these issues.
