Blue Zoo, Brighton Zoo and Curtis Jobling Join Forces on New Moshi Monsters Series
Moshi Monsters has teamed up with new production partner Blue Zoo and its regional sister studio Brighton Zoo, to transform the beloved universe into a television series. Set to launch in late 2028, the project will be developed alongside critically acclaimed creator and writer Curtis Jobling. Best known for his work on ‘Bob the Builder, ‘Raa Raa the Noisy Lion’ and Kidscreen-award-winning ‘Wolf King’, Jobling will bring extensive experience and creative vision to the project.
Blue Zoo brings with it 25 years of award-winning world class animation, working across characterful IPs such as Paddington, Lego and Numberblocks. Sister studio, Brighton Zoo, will be bringing its digital first expertise, honed on projects such as Fugglers and Cartoon Network’s Pixel and Patch, to develop an accompanying Youtube offering.
The series will see the Moshi universe return for broadcast and streaming audiences, introducing the brand to a new generation of children while continuing to engage long-time fans. Billed as Teen Titans meets Gumball, the series will deliver fast-paced, character-driven stories, primarily targeting children aged 6-12 alongside the fans who grew up with the brand.
This project is being developed alongside Wheel in Motion (WIM), Superprod Group’s London-based production company founded by ex-Netflix and Nickelodeon exec, Alexi Wheeler. WIM launched in 2024 to develop animated and live-action series for younger audiences. WIM has a strategic focus on working with large IP rights holders and has previously announced the co-development of BEAST QUEST with Cooabi.
As the father of three young women who were once young girls who were OBSESSED with Moshi Monsters, I’m very happy to be returning to that wonderful world and bringing its inhabitants to life. Whilst our show will undoubtedly appeal to the original fans of Moshi, packed as it is with animated hilarity, it’s going to be a thrill to introduce our colourful cast to an entirely new and unsuspecting audience!
Curtis Jobling
Moshi Monsters is a brilliantly rich universe, packed full of tongue-in-cheek, comedy chaos. We are bringing everyone’s favourite characters to life in a new and exciting way, whilst remaining true to the spirit that captured so many imaginations and charmed everyone so much in the first place.

Moshi Monsters originally launched in 2008 as an online Flash-based game and attracted over 100 million registered users worldwide, expanding into a substantial consumer product offering. Moshi Monsters was the number one licensed property in the UK at its peak, selling over $1 billion of retail products, including 170 million trading cards, 90 million figurines, 2 million books; and spawning a Gold album, feature film and the #1 best-selling kids magazine in the UK.
The television series leads to a broader multi-platform relaunch of the brand. In summer 2026, a new Moshi Monsters game will enter Early Access ahead of a global launch in Q3 2027. New toy and merchandise lines are also scheduled from 2028, setting the stage for the brand’s coordinated return across screens, games, and consumer products.
