Brighton International Animation Festival 2027 Now Accepting Entries
Submissions for the 2027 Brighton International Animation Festival are now open!
The festival will take place at Brighton’s iconic Dome theatre and sister venues between 2-4th April 2027.
The festival is now open for VR works in addition to shorts and feature films.
Submit your film utilising any technique or genre such as documentary, narrative, music video, explainer, experimental etc. The annual category Queer as F**k are films that have an LGBTQ+ focus. Awards will be given to Best UK, Best International and Best Student Film.
The festival is BAFTA qualifying meaning all selected films are eligible to apply for a BAFTA. All films must have burnt in English descriptive captions for accessibility purposes. Further information can be found here, giving an overview and any further guidance.
Earlybird deadline ends on 4th June, while the later deadlines of 29th November and 28th December are open for a higher submission fee.
