Fionnghuala Ní Néill, the Creative Director of Dublin Animation Film Festival, had this to say:

It’s amazing – I can’t believe we are celebrating our 9th festival already! We are delighted to be back at the DLR LexIcon and Pavilion Theatre, Dún Laoghaire. I am lucky to have such a great team – a lot of the volunteers who helped me with the first festival are in 2011 are working with me on DAFF 2019. We have also received incredible support from our sponsors and animation festivals based overseas over the years. It goes without saying that viewing the films and the short-listing process is one of the perks of organising the festival. We are looking forward to viewing the work created by so many talented animators and welcoming them to DAFF 2019 on the 18 and 19 October.

We would also like to thank Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Boulder Media, Luminosity and Blackrock Cellar for supporting DAFF 2019’s call for entries!
