The Animation Showcase reveals the line-up of short films featured in its 2023 Best Animated Short Film Collection, which will be launching on The Animation Showcase streaming platform today and touring major animation studios in Europe and North America.

This year’s collection will be highlighting festival darlings and frontrunners for the upcoming awards season, including amongst others the acclaimed 27 by Flóra Anna Buda, which received both the Palme d’Or at the Festival de Cannes and The Cristal in Annecy Festival, alongside the impactful ELECTRA, the latest work by Oscar-Nominated director Daria Kashcheeva, and the directorial return of Oscar-Winner Andrew Ruhemann with THE DAY I BECAME A BIRD. About THE ANIMATION SHOWCASE

The launch of The Animation Showcase streaming platform in 2020, during the Covid Pandemic, created a new opportunity to reach wider industry audiences and to offer them behind-the-scenes featurettes, exclusive filmmaker interviews and other bonus materials to accompany the films showcased on the platform. The platform has a global reach of 50’000 industry members and around 20’000 regular users.

INSTRUCTIONS TO WATCH THE COLLECTION

Most of the professionals working at big animation companies will be able to watch the collection by attending the touring screening in studios during the upcoming months. The collection will also be widely available via the secured industry-exclusive platform, for all the animation and motion pictures professionals eligible to access the platform.

  1. Click on the INDUSTRY SIGN-UP PORTAL to request a membership to the streaming platform.
  2. Add your email address and work proof (IMDb, Linked-in, Vimeo or other)
  3. After the information verification you will receive an email with the instructions to connect to the streaming platform and begin watching.
