Wubba Lub a dub dub! Rick and Morty are finally heading for the UK!
Adult Swim’s hit animated show Rick and Morty, which is currently in its second season over in the states is heading to UK TV screens. The show will air on FOX UK on Thursday nights at 11pm, starting on September the 10th. The show that follows the adventures of mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his dim-witted grandson Morty Smith has been both a critical and commercial success in its home country gathering a huge fan base as well as spin off comics and merchandise. The popularity of the duo has even called for a Simpsons opening couch gag based on the pairs dimension transcending adventures. The show was created by Community’s Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, the voice of Lemongrab in Adventure Time and a animator/comedy writer also known for his offbeat Channel 101 series House of Cosbys series and Doc and Mharti, the NSFW short (so don’t click on the link if you’re easily offended) that eventually evolved into Rick and Morty. Roiland also voices the titular pair.
Alongside Rick and Morty, animated comedy Mr Pickles will introduce UK fans to a seemingly lovable border collie with an evil streak as well as Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Venture Bros, Black Jesus and Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell.
Rick and Morty will air on Fox Thurdays at 11pm from the 10th September.
